Job Overview: The Audit and Internal Ethics Manager will be responsible for defining and overseeing the internal audit strategy for both headquarters and field operations. This role involves supervising the development of the annual audit plan and validating reports, contributing to the evaluation of internal control systems, and coordinating the establishment of organizational risk mapping. The manager will also pilot the global follow-up system for recommendations arising from internal audits, external audits, and partner evaluations. Reporting to the General Management and governance bodies, the manager will identify major risks through audits and other analyses, proposing improvement measures to enhance risk management and overall organizational performance. Additionally, the role includes overseeing financial and organizational audits commissioned by funding bodies, developing and promoting ethical standards within the organization, and ensuring compliance with ethical commitments. The position may also involve managing the team responsible for ethics and internal audits, ensuring their development and human resource management, and coordinating cross-departmental collaboration within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Define and pilot the internal audit strategy for SI, both at headquarters and in the field.
Supervise the development of the annual audit plan and validate audit reports.
Contribute to the evaluation of internal control systems.
Coordinate the establishment of organizational risk mapping.
Pilot the global follow-up system for recommendations from internal audits, external audits, and partner evaluations.
Report major identified risks to General Management and governance bodies, and propose improvement measures.
Oversee the management of financial and organizational audits commissioned by funding bodies.
Develop, strengthen, and promote the organization's ethical standards in line with sector practices and internal needs.
Pilot the continuous improvement of reporting mechanisms and processes for addressing abusive behaviors. 1
Supervise the processes for handling abuse cases, particularly investigations, in coordination with designated teams. 1
Coordinate the development of physical and digital archiving processes. 1
Support General Management in overseeing the normative framework of the organization. 1
Ensure compliance review of internal standards before final validation. 1
Supervise the Ethics & Internal Audit team, ensuring their development and human resource management. 1
Animate the service's life and coordinate with other departments. 1
Manage the service's project portfolio and take charge of specific projects within the scope. 1
Define and implement the annual programming for the Ethics and Internal Audit service.
Required Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of the humanitarian sector is essential.
Proven humanitarian field experience in support roles at coordination levels.
Significant experience in conducting internal and/or external audits and managing abusive behaviors.
Strong interest in organizational risk management.
Good general knowledge of compliance issues related to funding bodies.
Perfect command of French and English, both spoken and written.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work in a team, pedagogical skills, conscientiousness, and practical sense.
Rigor, analytical and organizational skills, and ability to manage priorities.
Educational Background: A relevant degree in a field related to audit, ethics, humanitarian studies, or a similar area is required. Advanced qualifications or certifications in auditing or compliance would be advantageous.
Experience: The position requires significant experience in the humanitarian sector, particularly in support roles and coordination. Candidates should have a proven track record in conducting audits and managing ethical standards within organizations, with a focus on risk management and compliance.
Languages: Fluency in French and English is mandatory, both orally and in writing. Additional languages may be considered an asset but are not required.
Additional Notes: The position is based at the headquarters of Solidarités International in Clichy, with the possibility of remote work. The contract is a short-term contract lasting 6 months, starting from July 1, 202
The gross monthly salary ranges from 4428 euros to 4612 euros, depending on the current salary scale and the candidate's experience. The organization offers a telework option of 4 to 12 days per month or 100% remote work with 3 mandatory in-person days per month. Employees are entitled to 2.0833 vacation days per month and 1 RTT day for each full month of work. Additional benefits include health insurance coverage (80%), meal vouchers (60%), and transportation subsidies (50%) for Île de France.
