Job Overview: The ICT4D Coordinator will play a crucial role in the Emergency Child Health project by coordinating and delivering various ICT4D services in accordance with established agency policies and standards. This position requires the individual to provide professional service and technical support to CRS and JDPC staff, ensuring the efficient operation and use of information sharing, communication, and collaboration technologies. The coordinator will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining ICT4D devices and systems, providing field-level technical support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring optimal performance of networks and servers. The role also involves maintaining an inventory of ICT4D equipment, preparing statistical reports, and supporting capacity-building initiatives for staff and partners. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in planning, development, implementation, and management of ICT4D strategies and training programs, ensuring that all users are adequately trained and supported in their use of technology.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Deploy, configure, and maintain Red Rose devices and monitor databases, including networks, servers, and telecommunications.
Provide field-level technical support to vendors and staff on the CAT platform and CAT devices.
Troubleshoot and address any issues to ensure optimal performance of networks, servers, and devices.
Configure and maintain applications and CAT devices as per the CAT Strategy.
Manage access to CAT for staff, including providing and withdrawing access as necessary.
Communicate with CAT platform service providers to ensure service quality.
Deliver timely and quality technical support to user requests, ensuring proper access to agency business data.
Maintain an inventory of ICT4D equipment and ensure adequate supply and functionality.
Provide input to budget for ICT4D-related expenses. 1

Support capacity building initiatives for staff, partners, and end-users. 1
Prepare statistical reports on ICT4D-related data and metrics. 1
Implement measures to ensure compliance with required standards. 1
Export campaign data from CAT platform to Vector control team and support accountability reports. 1
Plan, develop, implement, and manage CAT Strategy Component Trainings and ICT4D. 1
Directly provide user training and create training materials and presentations. 1
Maintain documentation of processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. 1
Assess user capacity and suggest training improvements.
Significant work experience in a directly related field combined with appropriate training/certificates may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant field-based experience supporting emergency projects.
Desired certifications include Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, Cisco Certified Network Associate, Microsoft SharePoint Foundations, and ITIL Foundation.
Proficiency in maintaining confidential information and a proactive, resourceful, solutions-oriented approach.
Demonstrated experience in building ICT4D capacity with professional staff.
Knowledge of ICT4D trends, applications, and technologies, as well as MS Project and Office applications.
Strong client-service focus and ability to work with diverse groups in a team-oriented environment.
Skills in problem analysis and resolution at a functional level, with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
Educational Background: The position requires a Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field such as Computer Science, Computer Networking, Programming, or Information Systems. Candidates with significant work experience in a directly related field, combined with appropriate training or certifications, may be considered in lieu of a degree. This educational background is essential to ensure the candidate possesses the necessary technical knowledge and skills to effectively perform the duties associated with the role.
Experience: The candidate must have a minimum of four years of relevant field-based experience, particularly in supporting emergency projects. This experience should include responsibilities similar to those outlined in the job description, demonstrating the ability to manage ICT4D systems and provide technical support in a challenging environment. Languages: The mandatory language for this position is English, with Hausa being a preferred language.
