Job Overview: The Business Development Manager (BDM) plays a pivotal role in leading the Business Development Unit, which encompasses Resource Mobilization, Grants Management, Donor Compliance management, Cost Recovery support, Donor Engagement, and Institutional Partnerships for Programme Funding. The BDM serves as the primary interface between Plan International Liberia and its donors and key stakeholders, promoting and enhancing the organization's resource mobilization efforts and visibility. This position requires proactive assessment and mapping of the donor landscape, identifying and exploring funding opportunities that align with the priorities of Plan International Liberia. The BDM is responsible for developing a Concept Note Bank and producing high-quality, successful grant proposals in collaboration with program technical colleagues, finance, administration teams, and field staff. Additionally, the BDM supports the implementation of grants and works closely with donor contract compliance staff to ensure accountability for the resources managed by Plan International Liberia. The role also involves ensuring effective tracking of the utilization of resources for the benefit of targeted beneficiaries and delivering timely, quality financial and narrative grant reports to donors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the Business Development Unit, overseeing Resource Mobilization, Grants Management, and Donor Compliance management.
Act as the primary interface with donors and key stakeholders to enhance Plan International Liberia's resource mobilization and visibility.
Proactively assess and map the donor landscape to identify and explore funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities.
Develop and maintain a Concept Note Bank to streamline proposal development processes.
Collaborate with program technical colleagues and finance and administration teams to produce high-quality grant proposals.
Support the implementation of grants and ensure compliance with donor contracts.

Additional Notes: This position is a full-time role with a fixed-term contract of 2 years.
