Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct individual assessments to determine clients' skills, interests, and employment goals.
  • Develop personalized action plans to guide clients in their job search.
  • Provide information on job market trends, available job opportunities, and necessary qualifications.
  • Assist clients in preparing resumes, cover letters, and job applications.
  • Conduct mock interviews and provide feedback to improve clients' interview skills.
  • Organize workshops and training sessions on job search strategies, networking, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with local businesses to identify job openings and internship opportunities for clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with clients.
  • Knowledge of career counseling techniques and job search strategies.
  • Familiarity with labor market trends and employment resources.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using computer software for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple clients and tasks effectively.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in psychology, human resources, social work, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in career counseling or coaching are preferred. Continuous professional development in employment services and labor market trends is also beneficial.

Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in career counseling, job placement, or a related field is required. Experience working with diverse populations and understanding their unique challenges in the job market is highly valued. Familiarity with local employment resources and networks is a plus.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory. Proficiency in English or other languages is considered an asset, as it can enhance communication with a broader range of clients and employers.
