Job Overview:
The Project Officer for Cash and Asset Transfer will play a crucial role in the Emergency Child Health project by coordinating and delivering various ICT4D services in line with established agency policies and standards. This position requires the individual to provide professional service and technical support to CRS and JDPC staff, ensuring the efficient operation and use of information sharing, communication, and collaboration technologies. The officer will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining Red Rose devices, monitoring databases, and providing field-level technical support. The role also involves troubleshooting issues, maintaining inventory of ICT4D equipment, and supporting capacity-building initiatives for staff and partners. The Project Officer will prepare statistical reports and implement measures to ensure compliance with required standards, contributing to the overall success of the project.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Project Officer include deploying, configuring, and maintaining Red Rose devices, monitoring networks, servers, and telecommunications. The officer will provide technical support to vendors and staff on the CAT platform and devices, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal performance. Responsibilities also include configuring applications as per the CAT Strategy, managing user access to CAT, and communicating with service providers. The officer will maintain an inventory of ICT4D equipment, assist in budgeting for ICT4D expenses, and coordinate relationships with suppliers. Additionally, the officer will support capacity-building initiatives, prepare training materials, maintain documentation, and assess user capacity for improvement. The role requires the officer to export campaign data and support accountability reporting, ensuring that all processes align with the project's objectives.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field such as Computer Science, Computer Networking, Programming, or Information Systems. Significant work experience in a directly related field, combined with appropriate training or certifications, may be considered in lieu of a degree. The position requires a minimum of four years of relevant field-based experience supporting emergency projects. Desired certifications include Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, Cisco Certified Network Associate, Microsoft SharePoint Foundations, and ITIL Foundation. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented approach, with a strong client-service focus and the ability to work effectively in diverse teams.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field is highly preferred for this position. Candidates with significant work experience in a related field, along with appropriate training or certifications, may be considered in lieu of a degree. The educational background should ideally include knowledge of ICT4D trends, applications, and technologies, as well as proficiency in MS Project and Office applications.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of four years of relevant field-based experience, particularly in supporting emergency projects. Candidates should have a proven track record of building ICT4D capacity with professional staff and maintaining confidentiality in their work. Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, is essential.

Languages:
The mandatory language for this position is English, with Hausa being a preferred language. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively in both languages to support diverse groups of people in a team-oriented environment.

Additional Notes:
