Job Overview:
The position of Responsable de Département Nutrition et Santé involves overseeing and coordinating nutrition and health programs within the organization. The individual in this role will be responsible for developing strategies to improve nutritional outcomes and health services in the region. This includes assessing community needs, designing intervention programs, and ensuring the effective implementation of health initiatives. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community leaders, to promote health education and nutrition awareness. The candidate will also be expected to monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making necessary adjustments to enhance impact. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, as the position involves managing a team and engaging with the community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement nutrition and health programs tailored to the needs of the community.

Required Qualifications:

Proficiency in project management and the ability to work under pressure are also required. Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation frameworks is a plus.

Educational Background:
A degree in public health, nutrition, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in nutrition or health management are preferred. Candidates should have a solid understanding of health and nutrition principles, as well as experience in program development and implementation.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in health and nutrition program management is required. Candidates should have a track record of successfully leading health initiatives and working with communities. Experience in a similar role within an NGO or international organization is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication in Chad. Proficiency in English is an advantage, as it may facilitate communication with international partners and stakeholders. Knowledge of local languages is also beneficial for community engagement.
