Job Overview:
This internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position is located within the Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT) in the Department of Management (DM) at ESCAP. The internship is designed to provide practical experience and exposure to the workings of the United Nations, particularly in the field of information and communications technology. Interns will engage in a variety of tasks that support the organization's IT projects and initiatives. The internship is unpaid and requires a full-time commitment, with interns expected to work five days a week for a minimum of two months, extendable up to six months. Interns will gain valuable insights into the operations of the UN and contribute to meaningful projects that align with ESCAP's goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be involved in a range of duties that may include, but are not limited to: providing support for computer information systems, assisting with the installation of software and hardware for computer applications, troubleshooting various applications, and providing administrative support for IT projects and conferences. Responsibilities will be tailored to the intern's background and the duration of the internship, allowing for a personalized experience that aligns with their skills and interests. Interns will also have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds, enhancing their teamwork and communication skills.

Required Qualifications:
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria: (a) be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or (b) be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). No prior work experience is required, making this position accessible to recent graduates and students seeking to gain experience in a professional setting.

Educational Background:
Candidates should possess a relevant educational background that aligns with the internship's focus on information and communications technology. This includes being enrolled in or having completed a graduate program or a bachelor's degree in fields such as computer science, information technology, or related disciplines. The educational qualifications should provide a foundation for the skills and competencies required for the internship.

Experience:
