Job Overview: The Associate Multimedia Officer (Video) will work under the supervision of the Head of the Media, Multimedia and Public Outreach Section. This role involves close collaboration with the Multimedia Officer and other relevant staff within the Office for Public Information and Communication (OPIC). The primary function of this position is to create engaging video content that highlights the activities of the IAEA. This includes filming, editing, writing scripts, and producing videos that will be distributed across various IAEA platforms, including the official website and social media channels. The Associate Multimedia Officer will play a vital role in enhancing the visibility of the IAEA and increasing public and media awareness of its work. The position requires a blend of technical skills in video production and a creative approach to storytelling, ensuring that the IAEA's messages are communicated effectively to diverse audiences.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Associate Multimedia Officer (Video) will be responsible for several key functions:
Identifying suitable topics for IAEA video stories and transforming these ideas into compelling film concepts.
Producing high-quality videos by collecting and editing footage from both IAEA headquarters and field locations, ensuring quality sound recording, appropriate sound effects, and optimal lighting through the use of advanced tools and software.
Contributing to the effective dissemination of films on IAEA and other relevant channels, which includes maintaining a digital archiving system for IAEA video films.
Continuously proposing new technical innovations and solutions to enhance video production processes.
Collaborating with team members to ensure that all video content aligns with the IAEA's communication strategy and objectives.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a University Degree in film/video production or a related field. They should have at least 2 years of relevant working experience in filming, editing, script writing, and producing social media videos, preferably in an international context. Familiarity with geopolitical and nuclear topics is considered an asset. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate proven ability to operate a video studio and possess excellent oral and written command of English. Knowledge of other official IAEA languages, such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish, is advantageous.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a University Degree in film/video production or an equivalent qualification. Additional Notes: The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package, which includes a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $50,377, subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance. There is also a variable post adjustment currently amounting to US $30,579, along with dependency benefits, rental subsidies, education grants, and relocation and repatriation expenses. Employees are entitled to 6 weeks of annual leave, home leave travel, and benefits such as a pension plan and health insurance.
