Job Overview: The National Programme Support Officer will play a crucial role in project development and donor liaison activities within the IOM framework. Developing, reviewing, and submitting project proposals and donor reports.
Coordinating project development and donor reporting activities.
Identifying opportunities for developing and promoting IOM’s strategic objectives and partnerships.
Keeping up to date with funding trends, policies, and budgetary planning cycles of donors.
Proactively seeking funding sources among government and non-government donors.
Ensuring compliance with donor interests and requirements in project design and development.
Maintaining effective working relationships with donors and potential donors.
Representing the IOM in donor meetings, conferences, and UN Working Group meetings.
Supporting Project Managers in donor reporting and compliance. 1

Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the National Programme Support Officer position include:
A Master’s degree in International Relations, International Development, Political or Social Sciences, Migration Studies, Law, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with five years of relevant professional experience; or a Bachelor’s degree in the same fields with seven years of relevant professional experience.
Experience working in international organizations and knowledge of the UN system.
Experience in donor relations and grant management for specific donors of IOM’s interest.
Previous experience and knowledge of donor funding mechanisms, particularly in the country.
Experience in project development, donor reporting, and technical writing and editing, preferably in the international development/humanitarian sector.
Familiarity with Results Based Management and other strategic planning approaches.
Experience managing a small team of professionals.
