Job Overview:
The Project Assistant role within the Directorate for Education and Skills (EDU) at the OECD involves a diverse range of tasks aimed at supporting project work and contributing to division-wide initiatives. The successful candidates will be integral in organizing international meetings and workshops, managing contracts, preparing documents for publication, updating web pages, and providing administrative support to their teams. The Project Assistants will report to project managers and collaborate closely with other assistants and the central management unit of EDU. This position requires a proactive approach to ensure effective communication and coordination among various stakeholders, including member countries and international agencies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Assistant will be responsible for preparing reports and documents for release as OECD publications, ensuring adherence to the OECD style guide and quality assurance standards. This includes managing the layout, proofing, and formatting of documents, as well as liaising with the Directorate for Communications for dissemination. The role also involves organizing meetings, including setting up videoconferences and webinars, managing logistics, and preparing official documents. Administrative duties include supporting project teams, managing voluntary contributions, maintaining filing systems, and drafting correspondence in both English and French. The Project Assistant will also participate in initiatives aimed at improving administrative practices within the division.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a higher education degree in a relevant field or in office administration and secretarial studies. Proven experience in similar roles, preferably within an international context, is essential. Familiarity with OECD administrative rules and procedures, particularly regarding missions and document preparation, is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are necessary to effectively engage with colleagues and high-level stakeholders in a multicultural environment.

Educational Background:
A higher education degree in a relevant field is required, with a focus on office administration or secretarial studies being advantageous. This educational background should equip candidates with the necessary skills to perform the administrative and project support functions required in this role.

Experience:
Candidates should have proven experience in performing similar functions, ideally in an international setting. This experience should include familiarity with administrative processes and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to the OECD's operational procedures and software tools.

Languages:
Fluency in one of the OECD's official languages (English or French) is mandatory, along with a good working knowledge of the other language. Candidates should demonstrate proofreading abilities and the capacity to draft routine correspondence in both languages. Knowledge of additional languages spoken in OECD member countries is considered an asset.

Additional Notes:
The closing date for applications is set for Sunday, 1 June 2025, at 23h59 Paris time. The contract duration will be determined based on the needs of the Directorate, and the appointment type will be confirmed upon offer. The monthly salary starts at 3,809.51 EUR, with additional allowances based on eligibility and exempt from French income tax.
