Job Overview:
The Field Coordinator (FC) for Cabo Delgado is responsible for the qualitative implementation of field operations. This role involves direct management of all Program Managers, the MEAL Manager, and the Humanitarian Access and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security Managers in the region. The FC coordinates teams to ensure that activities and projects align with the Solidarités International charter, adhering to internal and contractual procedures while maintaining security protocols. The FC acts as a liaison between program teams and support teams, ensuring that necessary material and financial resources are available for smooth program execution. The position is critical in navigating the challenges posed by recent organizational restructuring, staff reductions, and a volatile security context, requiring strong leadership and adaptability.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Field Coordinator's duties include overseeing the implementation of ongoing operations and activities, maintaining operational presence in former areas of intervention, and initiating activities in new districts. The FC must adapt security management protocols to the new organizational setup and ensure daily security monitoring. Responsibilities also include clarifying team roles and responsibilities, participating in proposal writing with the PM and MEAL Manager, and representing the organization with local authorities and external partners. The FC will need to manage the challenges of staff tensions, security volatility, and the need for a presence in multiple operational bases, ensuring effective communication and coordination among teams.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in humanitarian action, development, law" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">international law, or a related technical area relevant to the humanitarian sector. A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector is required, with 0-2 years in a similar position. The role demands strong project cycle management skills, security management capabilities, and excellent writing skills. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate leadership, planning, and prioritization abilities, as well as the capacity to represent SI effectively to partners and authorities.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Master's degree in a relevant field such as humanitarian action, development, or international law. This advanced education is essential to equip the candidate with the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate the complexities of humanitarian work and effectively manage field operations.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with a preference for those who have held similar roles for 0-2 years. This experience is crucial for understanding the dynamics of humanitarian aid and the specific challenges faced in the field, particularly in a context like Cabo Delgado, Mozambique.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization and with international partners. Additional Notes:
The position is a short-term contract with a duration of one year, and it is based in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique. The salary starts from EUR 2860 gross per month, which includes a base salary and an annual leave allowance. A monthly per diem of USD 750 is also provided. SI covers accommodation costs and travel expenses for expatriates. The organization implements a work and time-off system, allowing for breaks every three months, along with additional rest days. Expatriates benefit from a comprehensive insurance package covering healthcare expenses and essential vaccinations. Living conditions in Pemba are described as normal, with access to comfortable accommodations and local amenities.
