Job Overview: The Climate Intern position is part of WWF's internship" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">summer internship program, BRIDGE, which aims to provide paid internship opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students. The intern will support the Climate team in developing private sector partnerships that enhance community and landscape-scale adaptation and resilience. This role involves contributing to the Catalytic Investment for Nature-based Solutions for Adaptation (CINSA) program by researching finance trends for adaptation and resilience, and assisting in the engagement with funding opportunities. The intern will also support ongoing projects with corporate partners and contribute to the team’s communication efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will be responsible for conducting research on climate adaptation and resilience finance in both public and private sectors. This includes analyzing instruments for climate finance, monitoring new technical information and global trends related to climate change adaptation, and synthesizing research findings into materials such as slide decks and reports. The intern will also assist in the resilience action planning process and updates to communication platforms within the WWF Resilience Partnerships team.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must be pursuing a graduate program in Environmental Science, Policy, Management, or Economics, although those studying other fields are encouraged to apply.
