Job Overview:
The security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security Program Manager (PM) plays a pivotal role in leading and facilitating cross-team planning, collaboration, and issue resolution within the Global Security team. This position is crucial for supporting the prioritization and tracking of ongoing work and progress towards organizational goals. The PM will be responsible for budget oversight and planning, analysis" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">financial analysis, and reporting, as well as process management for the annual planning cycle. Additionally, the PM will oversee two key security programs, namely business continuity and security reception, ensuring that these initiatives are effectively managed with vendor support. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Security Operations in Seattle, the PM will work closely with the Global Security team to enhance the foundation's security posture and operational resilience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Security Program Manager will be tasked with several key responsibilities, including:
  • Supporting cross-cutting initiatives across the Global Security team by collaborating with peers to design and lead qualitative and quantitative analyses, providing insights to guide team efforts.
  • Coordinating with leadership to track and prioritize team initiatives effectively.
  • Providing budget oversight and planning, including financial analysis and reporting, and driving the annual budget planning process in partnership with peers.
  • Ensuring data quality for investments and invoices to support the team’s financial decision-making.
  • Leading the business continuity program by collaborating across the organization to build, implement, test, and continuously improve the foundation’s response and recovery capabilities for major events.
  • Facilitating the global security reception program in collaboration with regional security managers, including maintaining security procedures and delivering training materials to vendors.
  • Handling logistics for Global Security-led training sessions at foundation and affiliate offices, including managing registrations and space reservations.
  • Overseeing security initiatives related to business enablement for technology projects, tracking and influencing the priority of significant security objectives and plans across all security sub-departments.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in fields such as Security Management, Business, Disaster Recovery, Public Administration, International Relations, or a related area. Additionally, a minimum of 5 years of experience in security roles or crisis management/business continuity roles is required. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint, is essential. Candidates should also have the ability to convert complex datasets into clear and visually appealing representations using tools like Power BI. Experience in strategic planning, program development, prioritization, budget management, and risk assessment is necessary, along with a proven track record of influencing and aligning partners with diverse perspectives. Candidates should have experience leading projects that span multiple functions within an organization, from strategic planning to implementation, and be adept at developing and delivering presentations to senior leadership. Practical experience with an understanding of diverse cultural, socio-economic, and political landscapes is also important, as well as strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to navigating cross-cultural environments with respect and compassion. Expertise in program management, continuous improvement, and enhancing organizational agility is required, along with the ability to assess the scope and complexity of initiatives and allocate resources effectively. Candidates must be strategic problem solvers with a history of aligning initiatives with broader organizational goals.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Business, Disaster Recovery, Public Administration, International Relations, or a related field is required. Equivalent experience may also be considered in lieu of a formal degree.

Experience:
