Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position within the Policy and Government Affairs (PGA) team at WWF is designed for undergraduate and graduate students who are eager to gain hands-on experience in the environmental sector. The intern will engage in research and analysis related to various legislative and regulatory issues, including biodiversity conservation, natural resource management, climate change, and energy. The role will involve assessing government agencies' policies and positions, writing brief materials about U.S. government agencies, and participating in outreach activities such as attending congressional hearings and briefings. This internship aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the intersection between environmental issues and U.S. government policies, while also enhancing the intern's professional skills and networks.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for conducting research, writing, and analysis on topics such as food and water security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, foreign assistance, marine and fisheries issues, species/wildlife trafficking, climate change, and national security programs. Key responsibilities include legislative tracking and research, attending congressional hearings and briefings, participating in NGO coalition meetings, and engaging in outreach to Capitol Hill and the Administration regarding legislation and rulemaking. The intern will also be expected to collaborate with various teams within WWF and contribute to the organization's mission through their research and analysis efforts.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be actively enrolled in an associate’s or bachelor’s program focused on conservation and sustainable development, particularly with a concentration in Public Policy, Political Science, U.S. Government, or International Relations. However, students from other fields are also encouraged to apply. The intern must not have received their degree by the internship start date of June 16, 202
