Duties and Responsibilities: The duties of the Associate Political Affairs Officer include monitoring and analyzing global situations related to atrocity crimes, preparing analyses and recommendations for action, participating in missions to affected countries, managing early warning systems, representing the Office in inter-agency working groups, liaising with UN counterparts and civil society, drafting advisory notes and reports, conducting thematic research, preparing briefings and speeches, organizing technical assistance activities, and assisting with administrative functions related to planning and budget preparation. The officer will also be expected to undertake other tasks as required by the Senior Political Affairs Officer.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong understanding of political, ethnic, racial, social, and economic issues that contribute to civil unrest.
