Job Posting Organization:
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is dedicated to supporting Member States in their efforts to combat drugs, crime, corruption, and terrorism. Job Overview:
The Online Volunteers will play a crucial role in supporting the UNODC Programme for Central Asia 2022-2025, specifically under Sub-programme 1, which focuses on preventing and countering transnational organized crime. The volunteers will be responsible for producing digital materials that promote the project and its results, particularly related to Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). This includes creating up to 20 pages of MS PowerPoint and PDF materials, designing and updating up to 5 infographics using MS Power BI, and developing up to 3 dynamic video visualizations for presentation slides. The role requires creativity and technical skills to effectively communicate the project's objectives and achievements to both local and international audiences.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Online Volunteers will work closely with the Head of Programme Office in Kyrgyzstan and the Sub-programme 1 Project Specialist. Their specific tasks will include:
  • Supporting the UNODC Programme for Central Asia in creating high-quality content for presentations, including slides, infographics, and dynamic visuals.
  • Adapting media and multimedia assets for various audiences, ensuring that the content is relevant and engaging.
  • Proactively creating tailored editorial content such as stories, photos, advocacy images, campaigns, audio, video, and infographics.
  • Assisting in the design and publication of public-facing documents and presentations that effectively communicate the project's goals and outcomes.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess strong skills in digital content creation, including proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS Power BI, and video editing software. A background in graphic design, communications, or a related field is preferred. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong communication skills are essential for adapting content for diverse audiences.

Educational Background:
A degree in graphic design, communications, multimedia arts, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with relevant certifications or coursework in digital media production will also be considered. A strong portfolio showcasing previous work in digital content creation is highly desirable.

Experience:
Candidates should have prior experience in creating digital content, particularly in the areas of presentations, infographics, and video editing. Experience working with international organizations or in a multicultural environment is an advantage. Familiarity with the UNODC's mission and objectives will be beneficial for understanding the context of the work.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as all communications and materials will be developed in this language. Knowledge of Russian or Kyrgyz is considered an asset, as it may enhance the ability to engage with local stakeholders and audiences.
