Job Overview:
The Digital intern" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Communications Intern will be part of the Chinese Language Unit within the Social Media Section of the Department of Global Communications. This role is crucial for supporting the UN's social media activities, particularly in creating and managing content for Chinese-language platforms. The intern will engage in content creation, audience analysis, and performance monitoring, contributing to the UN's communication strategies aimed at promoting its core priorities such as the Sustainable Development Goals and climate action. The position requires a commitment to a full-time schedule for a minimum of three months, starting on August 1, 2025, with the possibility of remote work until the intern secures a G4 visa.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks including researching, compiling, drafting, and editing content for Chinese social media platforms. This includes creating engaging posts, monitoring social media metrics, and analyzing audience engagement. The intern will also capture highlights from UN events, edit video content, manage meeting agendas, and assist with special projects as assigned. The role demands creativity in developing content tailored for platforms like Weibo and Kuaishou, and requires the ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for this internship, applicants must be enrolled in or have completed a graduate program or be in the final year of a bachelor's degree. A strong interest in the work of the United Nations and a commitment to its ideals are essential. Candidates should demonstrate effective communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and a willingness to embrace diverse perspectives. Proficiency in Chinese is mandatory, and familiarity with social media tools and graphic design software is advantageous.

Educational Background:

Experience:
