Job Overview: The Consultant for Data and Digital Solutions will play a crucial role in enhancing the internal data and digital capabilities of the Executive Office of the Secretary-General (EOSG). The consultant will be responsible for developing and integrating data workflows that support priority initiatives, creating user-ready digital tools and dashboards, improving documentation and training materials, and streamlining the operating environment within EOSG. Duties and Responsibilities:
Data Systems and Integration: The consultant will design, configure, and optimize data management solutions using Microsoft 365 technologies, ensuring high-quality datasets through the development of data processing workflows using tools like Python, SQL, R, and PowerQuery. The consultant will also incorporate AI and NLP techniques to enhance data usability.
Digital Product Development: The role involves creating digital tools and applications that improve internal processes and information access, including dashboards and automated workflows.
Deployment and Support: The consultant will oversee the implementation of digital products, manage version control, and establish user support mechanisms.
Project Coordination: The consultant will support project implementation by coordinating with internal service providers and assisting in planning and delivering training sessions for end-users.
Continuous Improvement: The consultant will propose enhancements to existing systems and introduce new methods to improve efficiency and insight generation.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess at least a first-level degree in management, business, analytics, computer science, information systems, public administration, political science, international relations, or related social sciences. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in project management, data management, analytics, or digital solutions design is required. Demonstrated experience with analytical tools such as Python, SQL, R, and PowerQuery is essential, along with familiarity with the Microsoft 365 digital ecosystem and data visualization tools like Power BI. Experience with NLP or AI-assisted analytics is desirable, as is the ability to prepare high-quality presentation materials.
