Job Overview: The position involves providing technical support for the design and implementation of care policies in Chile and Colombia. The consultant will be responsible for systematizing and analyzing information regarding the care offerings in both countries. Duties and Responsibilities:
Systematize statistical information regarding the public care offerings in Colombia and Chile.
Analyze the information received from governments and organize it into databases and quick-access minutes.
Attend working meetings with technical teams from the National Care Directorate of the Ministry of Equality and Equity of Colombia, the National Administrative Department of Statistics of Colombia, and the Ministry of Social Development of Chile regarding the national care systems in both countries, in conjunction with professionals from the Gender Affairs Division of ECLAC.
Prepare recommendation documents and presentations as part of the technical assistance for strengthening the design of the Care System for Colombia and Chile.
Develop inputs for substantive documents on care policies in Latin American and Caribbean countries.
Execute other related activities within the framework of the project.
Required Qualifications: Required: A university degree in social sciences, political science, economics, or related fields. Required: At least 3 years of experience in research related to gender equality issues; proficiency in statistical processing software (Stata, R, or others); experience in academic research on community care.
