Job Overview:
The position of Praktikant (Intern) at the International Sustainable Chemistry Collaborative Centre (ISC3) focuses on communication within the project. The ISC3 is an international competence center that promotes the transition of the chemical and chemical-related sectors towards sustainable chemistry. It advocates for a circular economy that considers various aspects of sustainability throughout the product lifecycle and encourages behavioral changes among all stakeholders. The intern will be involved in various communication tasks, including website maintenance, social media activities, and content creation, contributing to the ISC3's mission of promoting sustainable chemistry and innovation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
As an intern, you will be responsible for supporting the maintenance and editing of the ISC3 website (www.isc3.org; CMS: WordPress) and assisting with the ISC3's social media activities. Your tasks will include collaborating with the ISC3 team to create and coordinate texts for news articles on the website, social media posts, press releases, newsletters, and more. You will also assist in managing social media paid campaigns and coordinating with external service providers. Additionally, you will handle various everyday communication tasks that contribute to the overall goals of the ISC3.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should have a strong interest in sustainability topics, chemistry, and innovation for sustainable development. A completed undergraduate degree is required, preferably in communication, design, or a natural science field, along with a keen interest in communicating chemistry and sustainability topics. Experience in communication is essential, and familiarity with editorial work, website management (CMS: WordPress, basic HTML), and social media is desirable. The ideal candidate should be a creative individual who enjoys independently preparing topics and is a team player eager to contribute actively to a dynamic team advancing new subject areas.

Educational Background:
The position requires candidates to have completed at least an undergraduate degree. Fields of study that are advantageous include communication, design, or natural sciences. Additionally, candidates must be currently enrolled in a program that requires an internship or have graduated no more than six months prior to the start of the internship.

Experience:
Candidates should possess relevant experience in communication, particularly in areas related to sustainability and chemistry. Experience with editorial tasks, website management, and social media engagement is highly desirable. The internship is designed for individuals who are looking to gain practical experience in a professional setting while contributing to meaningful projects.

Languages:
Fluency in German is mandatory, with a minimum proficiency level of C1, and good English skills are also required, with a minimum level of B

  • The monthly stipend for interns is €2,205.04 (gross). It is important to note that the internship can only be undertaken if the candidate is currently enrolled in a study program that requires an internship or if their degree was completed no more than six months prior to the start of the internship.
