Job Overview:
The Field Coordinator position is crucial for proposing and implementing a regional strategy that aligns with the geopolitical and humanitarian context in Syria. The individual in this role will ensure that projects are executed in accordance with the Solidarités International charter and all internal and contractual procedures. The Field Coordinator will be responsible for mobilizing the necessary material and financial resources for program operations and will oversee resource management. Additionally, the role involves coordinating teams and ensuring their security within the assigned zone. The position is set against a backdrop of unpredictable funding streams and a shifting operational model, requiring adaptability and strategic foresight.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Field Coordinator will manage the implementation of the regional strategy, ensuring alignment with the humanitarian context. Responsibilities include overseeing project execution, resource mobilization, and team coordination. The role also involves managing security protocols for staff, adapting to the volatile security environment, and maintaining contingency plans. The Field Coordinator will kick off new programs, adjust team structures based on funding evolution, and contribute to the development of strategies for the region. The position requires a proactive approach to managing challenges related to funding and security, ensuring that the mission remains effective and responsive to the needs of the population.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with 0-2 years in a similar position. Technical skills required include experience in multi-department team management, security management in unstable contexts, and a solid understanding of sub-office management, including financial, HR, logistics, and project cycle management. Transversal skills such as excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential. A sound understanding of gender diversity and sensitivity to cultural differences are also important.

Educational Background:

The compensation package includes a starting salary of EUR 3080 gross per month, accommodation costs, travel expenses, and a monthly per diem. Expatriates will also receive an insurance package covering healthcare expenses and a welfare system for war risks. Breaks are provided every three months, along with additional rest days for each month worked.
