Job Overview:
The position involves creating interactive designs and brochures for the Noura programme and the Adolescents and Youth programme. The Noura programme is a national initiative aimed at empowering adolescent girls in Egypt, focusing on building their health, social, economic, and digital assets. The role requires a creative individual who can effectively communicate the objectives of these programs through engaging visual content. The candidate will be expected to work in both English and Arabic, ensuring that the materials are accessible to a diverse audience. This position is crucial for promoting the initiatives of UNFPA and raising awareness about the importance of adolescent health and empowerment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create interactive designs in both English and Arabic for the Noura programme, which includes compiling a list of donors, governorates, and villages, as well as the number of girls and boys enrolled in the program, along with the start and end years of each initiative.
  • Design brochures in Arabic and English for the Adolescents and Youth programme, ensuring that the content is informative, visually appealing, and aligned with UNFPA's mission.
  • Collaborate with program coordinators and stakeholders to gather necessary information and feedback for the designs.
  • Ensure that all designs adhere to UNFPA branding guidelines and effectively communicate the program's objectives and impact.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions to understand the needs of the target audience and incorporate their feedback into the design process.
  • Stay updated on best practices in design and communication to enhance the effectiveness of the materials produced.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong understanding of design principles and experience in creating engaging visual content.
  • Ability to work in both English and Arabic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Familiarity with the issues surrounding adolescent health and empowerment, particularly in the context of Egypt.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Educational Background:
A degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with relevant certifications or coursework in design will also be considered. A strong portfolio showcasing previous design work is essential for evaluation.

Experience:
Previous experience in graphic design, particularly in the non-profit or public health sector, is highly desirable. Candidates should have a proven track record of creating effective visual communication materials that resonate with diverse audiences. Experience working with youth or on programs related to sexual and reproductive health is a plus.

Languages:
Fluency in both English and Arabic is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required.

This position is a volunteer role, and the duration of the assignment may vary based on project needs. The role is expected to be part-time, allowing for flexibility in scheduling.
