Job Overview: The position of Consultor para arquitecto de datos involves providing consultancy services for the design of a data architectural model and the implementation of integration processes for a pilot project aimed at enhancing the interoperability of social information with prioritized administrative databases. This role is crucial in the context of the Social Information Exchange Mechanism (MIIS) in Peru. The consultant will be expected to work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that the data architecture aligns with the strategic goals of the project and meets the technical requirements necessary for effective data integration and management. The consultant will also be responsible for analyzing existing data systems, identifying gaps, and proposing solutions that leverage best practices in data architecture and engineering.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
Design and develop a comprehensive data architecture model that supports the integration of social information with administrative databases.
Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure efficient data flow and integration.
Collaborate with technical teams to define and design database structures that meet project requirements.
Provide expertise in data governance and management practices to ensure data quality and compliance.
Utilize tools such as Talend, Pentaho, Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Analysis, and Big Query for data processing and visualization.
Conduct training sessions for stakeholders on the use of the new data architecture and tools.
Prepare documentation and reports on the progress of the project and present findings to relevant stakeholders.
Ensure that all project deliverables are completed within the specified timeline of approximately 150 calendar days.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:
At least 8 years of general work experience in the public and/or private sector.
A minimum of 4 years of specific experience in data architecture, data governance, big data, data engineering, or business intelligence.
Proven experience in defining, designing, and implementing ETL processes and database services.
Strong knowledge of data integration tools and methodologies.
Educational Background: Candidates must have a minimum educational background of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines. Advanced degrees or certifications in data management, data science, or related areas will be considered an asset.
Experience: The position requires a significant level of experience, specifically a minimum of 8 years in relevant sectors, with at least 4 years focused on data architecture and related fields. This experience should include practical involvement in projects that required the design and implementation of data systems and processes.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as the position is based in Peru and requires communication with local stakeholders. Proficiency in English is considered a good to have, as it may facilitate communication with international teams and access to global resources.
Additional Notes: This position is offered as an Individual Contractor role, with a contract duration of approximately 150 calendar days. The consultant will be expected to work full-time and may need to engage with various stakeholders in Lima, Peru. Compensation details will be discussed during the selection process, and the organization is open to recruiting both nationally and internationally.
