Job Overview: The position involves providing consultancy services for the collection of perspectives on the topics outlined in the 2025 Roadmap for Technical-Professional Digital Education. The consultant will be expected to engage with various stakeholders to gather insights and recommendations that will inform the development and implementation of educational strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of digital education trends, technical-professional training, and the ability to synthesize diverse viewpoints into actionable recommendations. The consultant will work closely with UNDP teams and may need to facilitate workshops or discussions to elicit feedback and perspectives from participants.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive research on the current state of digital education and technical-professional training in Chile.
Engage with stakeholders including educators, students, industry representatives, and policymakers to gather diverse perspectives.
Facilitate workshops and discussions to encourage dialogue and collect insights.
Analyze collected data and perspectives to identify key themes and recommendations.
Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and providing actionable recommendations for the 2025 Roadmap.
Collaborate with UNDP staff to ensure alignment with organizational goals and strategies.
Present findings to stakeholders and participate in discussions to refine recommendations.
Ensure all deliverables are completed on time and meet the quality standards set by UNDP.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in consultancy or research related to education, particularly in digital or technical-professional fields.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with the educational landscape in Chile and current trends in digital education.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Educational Background: A minimum of a Master's degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field is required. Additional certifications or training in digital education or consultancy methodologies will be considered an asset.
Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in consultancy, research, or project management within the education sector, with a focus on digital education or technical-professional training. Experience working with international organizations or NGOs is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as the consultancy will primarily involve communication with local stakeholders. Proficiency in English is also desirable to facilitate reporting and communication with UNDP teams.
Additional Notes: This position is for an individual contractor and is expected to be a short-term consultancy. The consultant will work remotely but may be required to attend meetings or workshops in person, depending on the situation. The contract duration will be specified upon selection, and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
