Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will be involved in various tasks, including conducting literature reviews and research related to disability and social protection. They will assist in developing knowledge products and contribute to the integration of disability considerations into social protection policies and programs. Interns will also support the department in addressing cross-cutting issues such as climate change, gender, and migration in relation to social protection. Administrative tasks will comprise 10% to 20% of the intern's time, ensuring that they gain a comprehensive understanding of the department's operations. Collaboration with specialists across different units within the department will be essential, as the work encompasses a wide range of issues related to social protection systems.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must be enrolled in or have recently completed a master's or doctoral program in relevant fields such as public administration, public policy, development studies, law, social policy, economics, econometrics, statistics, or social sciences. A practical knowledge of English, both oral and written, is mandatory. Additionally, candidates should have prior experience or exposure to disability inclusion, whether through research or relevant work experience in social protection or international development. Skills in qualitative research, quantitative modeling, or applied policy research will be advantageous.
Educational Background: The educational requirement for this internship includes being enrolled in a master's program or having completed one within the past year. Relevant fields of study include public administration, public policy, development studies, law, social policy, economics, econometrics, statistics, or related disciplines. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of social protection systems and policies.
Experience: Candidates are expected to have prior experience related to disability inclusion, which can be gained through research or relevant work experience.
