Job Overview: The E T Consultant - Real Estate Project Manager position is a critical role within the Global Corporate Solutions and Corporate Real Estate division of the World Bank. Reporting directly to the Team Lead, Project Management in the GCSHQ Real Estate Development and Management section, the Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of base building capital improvement projects from inception to completion. This includes managing projects with a budget of approximately $10 million, ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed in a coordinated manner. The role requires excellent client management skills, as the Project Manager will act as a trusted advisor to various stakeholders, including Building Managers and internal units such as Information Technology and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security. The position also involves developing project-specific proposals, managing budgets and schedules, and ensuring compliance with Bank policies and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the E T Consultant - Real Estate Project Manager include: managing capital, overhead, and move projects of approximately $10 million; determining project scope and required resources; developing initial estimates on structure costs and timelines; demonstrating excellent client management skills; developing project-specific proposals in coordination with various stakeholders; creating and monitoring project budgets and schedules; supporting the selection and procurement of design consultants and contractors; managing the preparation of design concepts and construction plans; coordinating with other Project Managers to leverage synergies; analyzing needs and developing optimal solutions; leading the planning, design, and construction process; working closely with the Corporate Responsibility Team to implement sustainable projects; approving invoices and preparing documentation for payments; maintaining comprehensive project documentation; and overseeing post-occupancy activities and project close-out requirements.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master’s degree with at least 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Architecture, Planning, Interior/Urban Design, Engineering, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a project management role. Additionally, candidates should have the ability to conceptualize, design, and implement capital improvement projects, along with 5+ years of experience in space studies, design, and construction document preparation. Knowledge of architectural principles, building methods, construction methods, and building codes is essential, as is a strong portfolio showcasing previous project management expertise. Candidates must also demonstrate proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, attention to detail, and strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Architecture, Planning, Interior/Urban Design, Engineering, or a related discipline. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of real estate project management and ensuring that candidates are equipped with the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to succeed in this role.

Additional Notes: This position is a local recruitment role with a term duration of 1 year, which may be renewable at the discretion of the World Bank Group.
