Job Overview:
The Risk Analyst position is situated within the Operational Risk Department of the World Bank Group, specifically under the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) Vice Presidency. This department is tasked with overseeing institutional risk, ensuring adherence to risk policies, and reporting on risk assessments to the Board and executive management. The Risk Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the department's activities, which include conducting research on operational risk themes, managing online content, and developing training resources. The position requires a proactive approach to enhancing the department's communication strategies and ensuring that all outputs meet established branding standards. The analyst will also be involved in creating a risk-aware culture within the organization and will report directly to the Lead Risk Officer, CROOR. The working hours for this role are from 11:00 AM IST to 08:30 PM IST, reflecting the organization's commitment to maintaining a structured work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Risk Analyst will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at supporting the Operational Risk Department. Key duties include: conducting research on various operational risk themes and preparing insightful reports; enhancing and managing the department's websites and online content; reviewing and rolling out communication and branding strategies; ensuring that all reports and products adhere to established standards; developing training and awareness resources related to operational risk; supporting programs designed to foster a risk culture; assisting in the preparation of Operating Procedures and checklists; participating in the design, testing, and implementation of technology solutions; and performing any other duties as assigned by management. This role requires a collaborative approach, as the analyst will work closely with various teams to ensure effective risk management practices are in place.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Risk Analyst position must possess a Master's degree or equivalent in a business or finance-related discipline. Additionally, a minimum of 5 years of practical experience in risk advisory or management consulting is required. Applicants should have a solid understanding of Operational Risk Management (ORM) frameworks and processes, along with demonstrated experience in analyzing operational risk data and presenting insights effectively. Experience in preparing impactful presentations for senior management discussions, managing content on online platforms like SharePoint, and developing training materials is essential. Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI and exposure to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions are highly desirable. Candidates must also exhibit strong interpersonal skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a high level of motivation and integrity.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for the Risk Analyst position includes a Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as business, finance, or a related discipline. This advanced degree is essential to ensure that candidates have the necessary theoretical knowledge and analytical skills to perform effectively in the role.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of practical experience in risk advisory or management consulting. This experience should encompass a comprehensive understanding of operational risk management and the ability to analyze and interpret data related to operational risks.
