Job Overview:
The Financial Analyst position at the World Bank Group involves working within the Finance & Accounting (WFA) Vice Presidency, which is responsible for financial reporting and internal control for various entities including IBRD and IDA. The role is integral to the financial operations of the organization, focusing on statutory and management reporting, analysis" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">financial analysis, and the trial balance close process. The analyst will participate in multiple responsibilities, including maintaining capital accounts, coordinating monthly closing processes, and preparing financial statements and reports. Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Financial Analyst include maintaining capital accounts for IBRD and IDA, coordinating the monthly closing process for decentralized business units, analyzing financial results for reasonableness, and preparing internal and external financial statements. The analyst will also support ERP migration, enhance documentation for financial reporting processes, maintain financial ledgers, prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, and participate in the implementation of new accounting system features. Regular communication with supervisors and team members regarding processes, timelines, and potential issues is also expected, along with performing other responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Chartered Accountant degree and a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant discipline. A Master's degree in a related field is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in similar roles is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is essential, along with the ability to learn new technologies quickly. Knowledge of financial instruments and markets, excellent analytical skills, and strong interpersonal skills are also necessary. The candidate should be comfortable working under pressure and capable of multitasking in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Chartered Accountant degree, which is mandatory, along with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An additional Master's degree in a relevant area such as Finance, Accounting, or Taxation is considered a plus, enhancing the candidate's qualifications for the role.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in similar or complementary roles. This experience should ideally involve financial analysis, reporting, and accounting functions, providing the candidate with a solid foundation to perform the responsibilities of the Financial Analyst effectively.

Languages:
