Job Overview: The Programme Analyst position is integral to the UNDP's Global Fund Partnership and Health Systems Team (GFPHST). The role focuses on supporting the rollout of the Role Readiness Project for Global Fund-funded Health Programmes, which aims to enhance the capacity of personnel involved in health programme implementation. The Programme Analyst will coordinate various training components, ensuring effective onboarding and continuous development for Country Office personnel. This position requires a proactive approach to facilitate knowledge sharing, collaboration, and the development of learning materials. The Programme Analyst will also engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment on policies and processes, contributing to the overall effectiveness of health programme implementation. The role demands a strong understanding of project management, learning design, and the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization and its partners.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure Effective Programme Coordination: Coordinate the rollout of the Role Readiness Project, ensuring smooth activation of all programme touchpoints. Organize quarterly orientation sessions on the UNDP-Global Fund partnership, contributing to systematic onboarding. Establish role readiness as a standard practice across critical domains, including programme management and monitoring. Develop and maintain a joint learning session calendar with relevant colleagues to ensure alignment on policies and processes. Integrate self-paced online modules and fieldwork components into the training plan. Plan and organize annual workshops for Country Office personnel, ensuring alignment with GFPHST development touchpoints. Act as a focal point for learner engagement, addressing queries and facilitating interaction. Develop learning engagement materials and targeted communication materials to enhance awareness among personnel.
Facilitate Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration: Support the co-creation of knowledge exchange webinars, focusing on best practices and case studies. Develop presentations and consolidate learning resources for webinars, ensuring engaging materials. Provide logistical support for webinars and document discussions to capture insights. Analyze post-session surveys to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Support Talent and Capacity Mapping: Map talent and capacity within the network of UNDP Country Office personnel, identifying functions and expertise. Provide inputs to inform the role readiness programme design and future training needs.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum Education Requirements: An advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources Management, Communications, or related Social Sciences is required. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the stated areas, combined with an additional two years of qualifying experience, will be considered in lieu of the advanced degree.
Minimum Years of Relevant Work Experience: Applicants with a master’s degree are not required to have professional work experience. Those with a bachelor’s degree must have a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in project management and the use of digital tools for communication and engagement. Experience in coordinating stakeholders for learning interventions and expertise in Microsoft 365 is essential. Proficiency in design and collaboration tools is also required.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in relevant fields such as Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources Management, Communications, or other related Social Sciences. Relevant experience should include project management, particularly in learning initiatives, and the use of digital tools for communication and engagement. Familiarity with the UN system and experience in learning design and delivery, especially online learning, is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. A working knowledge of French and/or Spanish is considered desirable, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and contribute to UNDP's global initiatives.
Additional Notes: This position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark, and involves a matrixed reporting line to both the Programme Specialist (Role Readiness) and the Programme Specialist (Capacity Development) within the GFPHST.
