Job Overview: The National IT Consultant for NEBE will be responsible for providing a comprehensive range of ICT technical support to the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE). Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the National IT Consultant include, but are not limited to:
Conducting a thorough analysis of the current IT infrastructure at NEBE and identifying areas for improvement.
Providing technical support and guidance on the implementation of new IT systems and technologies.
Assisting in the development of IT policies and procedures that align with best practices in electoral management.
Training NEBE staff on the use of new technologies and systems to ensure effective utilization.
Collaborating with NEBE to develop a strategic IT plan that supports their electoral processes.
Offering ongoing support and troubleshooting for any IT-related issues that arise during the assignment.
Preparing detailed reports on the progress of the IT support provided and recommendations for future improvements.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong background in information technology, with specific expertise in ICT systems relevant to electoral management. A proven track record of providing technical support in similar contexts is essential. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with NEBE staff. Familiarity with the electoral process and the challenges faced by electoral management bodies will be an advantage. Candidates should also have experience in project management and the ability to deliver results within tight deadlines.
Educational Background: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Experience: Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the field of information technology, particularly in providing technical support and consultancy services.
