Job Overview: The Systems Development Associate (Cloud) position is integral to the ICTS Cloud Services and DevOps team. The incumbent will play a crucial role in enhancing the stability, scalability, and efficiency of UNV's cloud-based systems and development operations. This position involves working with Azure Cloud and DevOps technologies, contributing to the management of applications deployed in Kubernetes environments, and ensuring optimal performance of cloud infrastructure. The role requires collaboration with various teams to support the organization's digital platforms and services, focusing on continuous improvement and automation of processes to enhance service delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities: The incumbent will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including managing cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes environments, supporting CI/CD pipeline administration, and utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for provisioning cloud infrastructure. They will monitor the performance of Azure-based components, contribute to automated alerting systems, and analyze issues for troubleshooting. Additionally, the role includes providing Tier-3 support for infrastructure-related issues, documenting incidents, and contributing to knowledge transfer through the creation of user documentation and knowledge articles. The incumbent will also engage in community knowledge sharing and participate in relevant networks to stay updated on trends and technologies.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong understanding of Azure services, Kubernetes management, and CI/CD pipeline processes. They should have experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, monitoring systems, and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure issues. Familiarity with Docker containerization, PowerShell scripting, and complex web architectures is desirable. The role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong communication skills are essential for documenting processes and engaging with stakeholders.
Educational Background: An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in the mentioned areas, combined with two additional years of qualifying experience, will be considered. This educational background ensures that candidates have the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to perform effectively in the role.
Experience: Applicants with a Master’s degree in a relevant field are not required to have prior professional work experience. However, those with a Bachelor’s degree must have a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience at the national or international level, specifically in managing Azure-based mission-critical business applications. This experience is crucial for understanding the complexities of cloud infrastructure and development operations.
Languages: Excellent writing and oral communication skills in English are mandatory for this position. Candidates should be able to articulate technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
