Job Overview:
The Partnership Coordinator is a pivotal role within the Danish Refugee Council, responsible for implementing a strategic framework to strengthen partnerships with local and national authorities, civil society organizations, and the private sector in Myanmar and Bangladesh. This position is integral to DRC's newly merged operations in these countries, focusing on localization and enhancing the capacity of local partners. The coordinator will lead the development and coordination of DRC's partnership approach, ensuring alignment with the organization's global strategies and local context. The role involves extensive collaboration across departments and requires significant field travel to support partnership development and implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Partnership Coordinator will lead the ongoing development and implementation of DRC's localization strategy in Bangladesh and Myanmar. Key responsibilities include facilitating the involvement of partners in strategic planning and design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design, coordinating with external agencies, and developing systematic approaches for selecting and managing partnerships. The coordinator will conduct capacity assessments of partner organizations, develop capacity development plans, and support the establishment of a partnership database. Additionally, the role involves ensuring compliance with reporting requirements, leading proposal development for funding opportunities, and providing technical management to a team of Partnership Specialists. The coordinator will also promote mutual respect and learning with partners and support DRC staff in building productive relationships with local NGOs.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced degree in political science, international development, economics, or a related field. A minimum of three years of relevant experience in an INGO or humanitarian context is required, along with at least two years of project or program management experience. Strong organizational skills, knowledge of donor compliance regulations, and experience working with national partners and local authorities are essential. Candidates should demonstrate analytical and critical thinking abilities, problem-solving skills, and the capacity to work operationally while maintaining strategic focus. Experience in training and liaising with national NGOs is also necessary.

Educational Background:
An advanced degree in a relevant field such as political science, international development, or economics is preferred for this position. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of humanitarian work and the dynamics of partnerships in the context of displacement and local governance.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least three years of experience in a relevant field, particularly within an INGO or humanitarian organization. This experience should include a minimum of two years in project or program management, demonstrating proven organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Significant experience in dealing with national partners and local authorities, as well as a professional background in working with internally displaced people or refugees, is highly desirable.

Languages:
Full professional proficiency in English is mandatory, along with proficiency in Burmese. Knowledge of additional languages relevant to the region may be considered an asset, enhancing communication and collaboration with local partners and stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
The position offers a DRC Regular contract, including a three-month probation period, with the possibility of renewal based on funding and performance. The salary and conditions will align with DRC's Terms of Employment, and the position is classified within Employment Band G-1, which is a non-management level.
