Job Overview: The consultant will contribute to achieving the goals set in the Communication and Advocacy Strategy for the Country Program 2021-2025 through UNICEF's digital communication channels. The main function is to propose and implement a digital communication strategy, which includes creating and editing texts, images, audio, and videos aligned with organizational principles and branding guidelines. The consultant will also be responsible for monitoring key performance indicators and recommending new tactics to maximize results. This role requires understanding digital opportunities and challenges in Panama's market and analyzing global and regional digital communication trends.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop the digital communication strategy and Annual Work Plan, understanding market opportunities and challenges.
Implement digital strategies and adjust them according to the country office's needs.
Manage official social media accounts, post approved content, and interact with followers.
Generate and adapt digital campaign materials for local execution.
Provide digital coverage for events and meetings.
Monitor social media performance and identify innovative opportunities.
Report monthly on digital media KPIs and ROI for advertising investments.
Support the implementation of the Communication and Advocacy Strategy for the Country Program 2021-2025.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communication, marketing, advertising, or a related field.
Master's degree in relevant areas is preferred.
At least 2 years of experience in digital marketing and community management.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of digital communication trends and tools, including SEO and social media analytics.
Educational Background: Minimum requirement is a completed university degree in Communication, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, or Community Management. Preferred qualifications include postgraduate studies in relevant fields and diplomas in Digital Marketing or related areas.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in digital marketing and community management, with specific focus on content writing for websites and social media, multimedia design, media planning, and digital advertising. Experience in preparing digital media KPI reports is also required.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory. Knowledge of English, both oral and written, is desirable.
Additional Notes: The consultant will be required to work on-site with agencies, media, and suppliers located in Panama. Travel costs for approved missions outside Panama will be covered separately. The consultant must have the necessary technological equipment for the consultancy, including a computer, mobile phone, and licensed design software. Payment will be made upon delivery of products to the satisfaction of UNICEF's supervisor, with invoices processed approximately 15 days after submission. Candidates must confirm full vaccination against COVID-19 before starting the assignment.
