Job Overview:
The Operations Analyst position at IFC in Kyiv, Ukraine, is a dynamic role that plays a crucial part in supporting the Country Manager and the regional team. The successful candidate will engage in a variety of tasks that include research, analytical work, and operational support related to IFC's activities in Ukraine. This role is essential for ensuring that the operations run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall mission of the organization. The Operations Analyst will be responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing portfolio and pipeline data, which will be presented in various formats tailored to different audiences. The role also involves conducting industry research, monitoring policy developments, and assisting in project management, all of which are vital for the successful execution of IFC's initiatives in the region.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Operations Analyst will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to: collecting, organizing, and analyzing portfolio and pipeline data to ensure accuracy and consistency; preparing and reporting on regular portfolio and pipeline reviews with industry departments and other internal stakeholders; maintaining a good working knowledge of current advisory and investment operations in Ukraine; conducting industry research and mapping the business community in Ukraine; drafting clear and concise summaries of reports and research findings; monitoring policy developments and preparing briefs on economic policy topics; assisting in planning and conducting visits by IFC management; creating visually engaging presentations for stakeholders; supporting the Country Team with project management and monitoring deliverables; and minuting meetings as required.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a reputable university, preferably with a major in economics, business, or finance. Additionally, at least two years of work experience in banking, consulting, or another fast-paced, knowledge-based environment is required. Experience engaging with the private sector and related stakeholders in Ukraine is preferred. The candidate should also demonstrate advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, along with solid experience in using AI-enabled tools. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as excellent teamwork abilities and the capacity to work across organizational boundaries. High energy, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are also important.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a reputable university, with a preference for candidates who have majored in economics, business, or finance. This educational foundation is critical for understanding the complexities of the financial and operational aspects of the role.

Experience:
The position requires at least two years of relevant work experience in fields such as banking, consulting, or other fast-paced, knowledge-based environments. Candidates with experience in engaging with the private sector and related stakeholders in Ukraine will have a competitive advantage. The ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously is also essential for success in this role.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Ukrainian is mandatory for this position, as effective communication in both languages is crucial for the role's responsibilities. While no additional languages are specified as preferred, proficiency in other languages may be considered an asset.
