This position is crucial for ensuring that UNDP's projects are effectively evaluated and that lessons learned are integrated into future planning and implementation.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring and evaluation frameworks for UNDP projects in Georgia.
Conduct baseline assessments and ongoing evaluations to measure project performance and impact.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure that monitoring and evaluation activities are integrated into project planning and execution.
Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to assess project outcomes and provide recommendations for improvement.
Prepare detailed reports on evaluation findings, including actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
Facilitate workshops and training sessions for project staff and partners on monitoring and evaluation best practices.
Ensure compliance with UNDP's monitoring and evaluation policies and guidelines.
Engage with external evaluators and stakeholders to gather feedback and insights on project performance.
Support the development of knowledge management systems to capture lessons learned and best practices from evaluations.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation, particularly in the context of international development projects.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences.
Familiarity with UNDP's policies and procedures related to monitoring and evaluation is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Educational Background: A master's degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, development studies, public policy, or a related discipline is required. Additional certifications in monitoring and evaluation methodologies will be an advantage.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation, with a focus on development projects. Experience working with international organizations, particularly UN agencies, is preferred. Proven track record of conducting evaluations and assessments in a variety of contexts is essential.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Georgian or Russian is considered an asset and will be advantageous for the role.
