Job Overview: The Green Certification Marketing and Sales National Consultant position is designed to support the UNDP in Egypt in promoting green certification initiatives. The consultant will be responsible for developing marketing strategies and sales plans that align with the UNDP's objectives for environmental sustainability. This role requires a deep understanding of green certification processes and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including businesses, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations. The consultant will work closely with the UNDP team to identify potential clients, develop promotional materials, and conduct outreach activities to raise awareness about green certification benefits. The position is expected to last for a period of three months, with a total of ten working days dedicated to the assignment. The consultant will need to submit proposals through the UNDP's supplier portal, ensuring compliance with the procurement process.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive marketing strategies for promoting green certification services.
Identify and engage potential clients and stakeholders interested in green certification.
Create promotional materials, including brochures, presentations, and digital content.
Conduct outreach activities, such as workshops and seminars, to educate stakeholders about the benefits of green certification.
Collaborate with the UNDP team to align marketing efforts with organizational goals.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
Prepare reports on marketing activities and outcomes for UNDP management.
Provide recommendations for improving the green certification process based on stakeholder feedback.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in marketing and sales, particularly in the environmental sector.
Strong understanding of green certification processes and sustainability practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and client needs.
Familiarity with UNDP's mission and values is an advantage.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in marketing, environmental science, business administration, or a related field is required. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred and may be considered an asset for this position.
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in marketing and sales, with a focus on environmental sustainability or related fields. Experience working with international organizations or NGOs is highly desirable. The candidate should have a track record of successfully implementing marketing strategies and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Arabic is highly desirable, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders and clients. Additional languages may be considered an asset.
Additional Notes: This position is offered as an individual contractor role for a fixed duration of three months, with a total of ten working days required for the assignment. The consultant will be expected to submit their proposals through the UNDP supplier portal by the specified deadline. The role is part-time, and the consultant will work remotely, with the possibility of occasional in-person meetings as required. Compensation will be based on the consultant's qualifications and experience, in accordance with UNDP's policies.
