Job Overview: The Deputy Field Coordinator for Programs will play a crucial role in supporting the mission of Solidarités International in Ukraine, particularly in response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis caused by the full-scale invasion by Russian forces. The position will involve a strategic focus on balancing emergency response with recovery programming, particularly in the sectors of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) and shelter. The role will require collaboration with local authorities to improve public services and ensure safe living conditions for affected populations. The Deputy Field Coordinator will also be responsible for project inception, proposal development, and providing technical support to teams in various sectors of intervention. Duties and Responsibilities: The Deputy Field Coordinator will have a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Supporting the program team during transitional periods and potential gaps in programming.
Leading the launch of winterization initiatives in collaboration with logistics teams.
Advancing the partnership agenda, particularly for existing grants from donors such as BHA and ECHO.
Participating in proposal development and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Conducting needs assessments and reviews of ongoing activities to inform program adjustments.
Providing technical support and guidance to field teams in WASH, shelter, and monitoring and evaluation (MEAL) practices.
Engaging with local authorities and stakeholders to foster collaboration and enhance service delivery.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a generalist or engineering background with a focus on WASH. A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector is required, with 0-2 years in a similar position. Candidates should demonstrate strong project management skills and have knowledge of SI's sectors of intervention, including MEAL. Experience in partnership development is also essential. Additionally, candidates should exhibit strong team spirit and assertiveness in their approach to work.
Educational Background: A relevant degree in a related field such as engineering, public health, or social sciences is preferred. Candidates should have formal training or certifications related to project management and humanitarian response.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with at least 0-2 years in a similar role. This experience should include direct involvement in program management and implementation in emergency contexts, particularly in WASH and shelter sectors.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Ukrainian is considered an asset, while knowledge of Russian can be beneficial for communication with local populations and stakeholders.

The salary for this position starts at EUR 2,475 gross per month, which includes a base salary and an annual leave allowance. Expatriates will also benefit from a comprehensive insurance package covering healthcare and other essential services.
