Job Overview:
The Finance Manager position at NRC is a critical role within the Myanmar mission, aimed at supporting a team of highly professional finance staff across various operational areas. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with financial systems and procedures, and providing comprehensive financial reporting and analysis. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance Manager will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: overseeing financial overview and monthly financial reporting; implementing financial systems, routines, and procedures; controlling budgets and monitoring cash flow; providing reports and analyses; performing account reconciliations; managing financial management routines and systems; developing and updating standard operating procedures; implementing anti-corruption policies; and providing line management and training to staff with financial responsibilities. The role also involves ensuring compliance with NRC's financial policies and procedures, as well as contributing to the overall financial strategy of the organization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Finance Manager position must possess senior financial management experience, particularly in a humanitarian or recovery context. Proficiency in computer software and modern accounting systems is essential, along with experience in remote team management and supervision. Candidates should also have exposure to start-up and/or exit scenarios, as well as experience working in complex and volatile contexts, particularly with displacement-affected populations. Knowledge of the Myanmar context is highly desirable, and candidates must demonstrate fluency in English, both written and verbal.

Educational Background:
A relevant educational background is required for the Finance Manager position, typically including a degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. Professional certifications in finance or accounting, such as CPA or ACCA, are advantageous and may be preferred by the organization.

Experience:
The position requires significant experience in financial management, ideally within the humanitarian sector. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing financial operations in challenging environments, with experience in leading teams and implementing financial strategies. Familiarity with the specific challenges faced by displaced populations and the ability to navigate complex financial landscapes are critical for success in this role.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, with both written and verbal communication skills being essential. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly those spoken in Myanmar, may be considered an asset but is not required.

The Finance Manager position is based in Bangkok, Thailand, with a contract duration of 12 months. The role may require approximately 20% travel.
