Job Posting Organization:
Solidarités International (SI) is an international humanitarian aid organization that has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters for over 40 years. Job Overview:
The position of Programme Coordinator is based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The coordinator is responsible for contributing to the development of Solidarités International's strategy by proposing sectoral strategies for all activities. They ensure the quality and relevance of the technical approaches proposed and ensure alignment between activities, the organization's general objectives, and the needs of the populations served. The coordinator oversees the project cycle, particularly the operational follow-up of the programs implemented in the country. They also contribute to the capitalisation process and improvement of methods and techniques used by Solidarités International. The role requires navigating a highly volatile security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security context while mobilizing and managing resources effectively and designing new project proposals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Programme Coordinator will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Contribute to the development of the overall strategy of Solidarités International, ensuring that sectoral strategies are aligned with the organization's mission.
  • Guarantee the quality and relevance of technical approaches proposed in the field.
  • Coordinate the project cycle, ensuring operational follow-up of ongoing programs.
  • Engage in capitalisation and improvement of methods and techniques used by the organization.
  • Monitor ongoing projects and ensure continuous emergency response.
  • Extend SI's areas of intervention, requiring the establishment of a programmatic strategy outside the ZMPP.
  • Develop the country strategy and ensure planning and monitoring of programs.
  • Supervise and coordinate programs, ensuring quality implementation and adherence to MEAL plans.
  • Oversee the budget management of programs and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
  • A Master's degree in Humanitarian Program Coordination, International Development, Project Management, Agronomy, EHA (Water, Hygiene, and Sanitation), or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with at least 3-4 years in a similar position.
  • Strong technical skills in coordination, technical support, and operational follow-up.
  • Proven experience in program planning and programming, as well as developing intervention strategies.
  • Familiarity with EHA, SAME, Protection, CCCM, and RRM methodologies.
  • Excellent reporting, communication, and representation skills.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have a Master's degree in a relevant field such as Humanitarian Program Coordination, International Development, Project Management, Agronomy, or EHA. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate has the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to effectively manage humanitarian programs and interventions.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with specific experience in a similar role. This experience should include managing programs in challenging environments, demonstrating the ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations and security contexts. The candidate should also have experience in project management, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.

Languages:
Fluency in French and English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in both languages is essential for effective communication with local teams, stakeholders, and international partners. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not required.

Additional Notes:
The position is a salaried role with a gross monthly salary starting from EUR 2860, which includes a base salary of EUR 2600 and a 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly. Additionally, there is a monthly per diem of USD 75
  • Solidarités International covers housing costs and travel expenses between the expatriate's home country and the duty station. The organization has a break system in place, allowing for 7 working days off every three months, with an additional day of rest for each month worked. Expatriates are provided with comprehensive health insurance covering medical expenses, including surgical care, dental and ophthalmological treatments, and repatriation. Vaccination and necessary antimalarial treatment costs are also reimbursed. Living conditions include accommodation in a guest house with individual rooms located in a secure compound, with access to amenities such as a swimming pool and tennis court. The office is equipped with Starlink internet, and while the phone network is available, it may experience interruptions. The organization emphasizes a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of abuse, including sexual exploitation and abuse, and is committed to equitable employment practices.
