Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will be responsible for supporting online collaboration tools and business process automation solutions for UNDP Country Offices. This includes assisting in the development of applications using PowerApps, building mobile-enabled applications for data entry and reporting, and supporting data collection and analysis for project tracking. Interns will contribute to improving online reports and dashboards, enhance user interfaces based on best practices, and participate in translating user requirements into actionable user stories. They will also assist in researching alternative tools for enhancing internal communications and tracking, creatively support the development of new projects, and promote the ITM’s overall ICT strategic framework. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration, ensuring that all tasks align with the organization's commitment to high quality and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: be enrolled in a postgraduate degree program, be in the final academic year of a first university degree program, or have recently graduated with a relevant university degree in fields such as IT Technician/Software Developer, Computer Science, Business Management, or Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, candidates must start the internship within one year of graduation if selected. Experience or knowledge in IT Technician/Software Developer roles, familiarity with Microsoft cloud technologies, and proficiency in Microsoft Office productivity tools are required. Knowledge of DevOps, Continuous Integration, Data Science principles, and experience with business intelligence tools are advantageous. Understanding of the non-profit sector and interest in sustainable ICT solutions are also beneficial.
Educational Background: Candidates should have a background in IT Technician/Software Developer, Computer Science, Business Management, or related fields. This includes being enrolled in a postgraduate degree program or being in the final year of a bachelor's degree program. Recent graduates are also eligible to apply, provided they meet the criteria of starting the internship within one year of graduation. The educational background should align with the technical and analytical skills required for the internship.

Interns will receive a monthly stipend to help cover basic daily expenses, with the amount varying based on the duty location. The internship is full-time, but flexibility is allowed for educational commitments. Interns are not considered staff members and should not expect employment with UNDP following the internship. All costs related to the internship, except for the stipend, are the responsibility of the intern.
