Job Overview: The position of Consultant for the Family Farmers Project is designed to support the national processes aimed at empowering family farmers in Brazil. Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including: conducting bibliographic research and data surveys in institutional documents; preparing reports and data spreadsheets in specified formats; selecting states for analysis in various geographic regions; supporting meetings with representatives of proposing entities; presenting partial and final results of products as requested; providing technical support in workshops and meetings; monitoring actions developed on consulting topics; supplying the Ministry of Agrarian Development (MDA) with relevant information; systematizing materials from seminars; and preparing work plans and products as outlined in the call for expressions of interest.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree in Human and Social Sciences or Applied Social Sciences, as recognized by the CAPES/CNPq table of areas of knowledge. Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of eight years of professional experience in human rights or related activities that combat violence against family farmers, landless individuals, indigenous peoples, quilombolas, and other traditional communities. Proficiency in both English and Portuguese is required, and candidates must be nationals of Brazil or residents with a valid work permit.
