Interns will work in a dynamic intercultural team, supporting the development and implementation of communication strategies and digital learning programs. The role is designed for students who wish to gain practical experience while contributing to significant local development initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will assist in various tasks, including the development and implementation of a communication strategy for the project, supporting digital learning programs, preparing work sessions, workshops, and documentation, and providing innovative suggestions for improving knowledge management. Additionally, interns will support the monitoring and evaluation unit of the project, ensuring effective communication both internally and externally. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should be enrolled in a degree program, preferably in communication, economics, agricultural sciences, social sciences, or related fields with a focus on communication. They should possess strong writing skills, capable of presenting complex information in an accessible manner. A structured thinking process and the ability to develop concepts are essential. Previous internships in print and audio media are advantageous, as well as familiarity with social media and website design.
Educational Background: The ideal candidate should be at least in their fourth semester of study in relevant fields such as communication, economics, agricultural sciences, or social sciences. A focus on communication within their studies is preferred, and candidates must be currently enrolled or have graduated within the last six months to be eligible for the internship.
Experience: While prior experience is not mandatory, candidates with completed internships in media or communication-related fields will have an advantage. The internship is designed for students looking to gain practical experience in a professional setting, particularly in international development and communication.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in French is highly desirable, given the working environment in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Knowledge of additional languages may be beneficial but is not required.
