Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will have a range of responsibilities under the supervision of the Senior Economic Affairs Officer, including:
Coordinating the joint work of the Technical Secretariat (TS) to ensure effective collaboration among members.
Overseeing substantive research efforts that support the expert group’s objectives.
Managing logistics for the TS to facilitate smooth operations.
Reviewing contributions from TS member institutions and coordinating discussions to integrate their insights.
Leading the drafting of the final report on behalf of the TS, ensuring that it reflects the collective input and findings.
Disseminating the final report’s findings and recommendations to all stakeholders involved in the project.
Representing the TS in various forums and discussions as required, advocating for the importance of the report’s findings.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate must possess a strong professional background in economics or finance, with a master's degree in economics, environmental economics, or public finance. Additionally, the consultant should demonstrate a robust understanding of macroeconomics, public finance, climate change, nature conservation, sustainable development, and debt management.
