Job Overview: The Health Systems Reporting Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the Government of Egypt in its efforts to implement Universal Health Insurance (UHI) as part of the broader goal of achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC). This position involves working closely with various stakeholders, including national counterparts and international partners, to ensure effective data collection, reporting, and coordination of health system activities. The consultant will be responsible for developing frameworks, tools, and action plans that guide the implementation of UHI initiatives, as well as managing technical reports and documentation to facilitate informed decision-making and policy development.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Propose a clear conceptual framework for UHI/UHC implementation activities.
Draft tools and action plans for data collection and training staff.
Provide technical support through meetings, consultations, and workshops in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders.
Facilitate the review of project documents and ensure alignment with UHI objectives.
Consolidate collected data and provide feedback for coordinated reporting.
Review reports, proposals, and relevant documents related to the project.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of all required documentation according to project contracts.
Liaise with local partners to secure data collection and review technical reports.
Coordinate implementation activities with national and international stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
University degree in medicine or related fields.
Desirable: Postgraduate degree in Public Health or related fields.
At least 2 years of experience in health facility coordination at national or international levels.
Strong understanding of health system strategies and policies relevant to extending health coverage.
Knowledge of WHO mandate and goals or experience with UN organizations, World Bank, or NGOs is an asset.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a university degree in medicine or a related field. A postgraduate degree in Public Health or a related field is highly desirable, as it demonstrates advanced knowledge and expertise in health systems and public health practices.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in health facility coordination, preferably at both national and international levels. Candidates should have a proven track record in capacity building and a solid understanding of health sector activities, particularly in relation to Universal Health Coverage and health system strengthening.
Languages: Fluency in Arabic is mandatory, as it is the mother tongue of the consultant. Additionally, candidates must be fluent in English, with the ability to read, write, and speak effectively, as this will be essential for communication with international partners and stakeholders.
Additional Notes: The consultant will be stationed in Cairo and may be required to travel to various UHI implementation governorates as needed. The position is a consultancy role, and the selected candidate will need to provide a medical certificate of fitness for work.
