Job Overview: The position of Consultant(e) National(e) Architecte involves providing expert architectural services to support the UNDP's projects in Niger. The consultant will be expected to engage in various phases of architectural design and project management, ensuring that all designs meet the required standards and specifications. Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive site assessments to evaluate the feasibility of proposed architectural projects.
Develop architectural designs that align with UNDP's objectives and local regulations.
Prepare detailed architectural drawings and specifications for construction projects.
Collaborate with engineers, planners, and other professionals to ensure integrated project delivery.
Oversee the construction process to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.

Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this position should possess a strong background in architecture, with proven experience in both design and project management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to effectively convey design concepts and project updates to stakeholders.
Educational Background: Candidates must hold a degree in Architecture from a recognized institution. A master's degree in a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Additional certifications in project management or sustainable design practices will be considered an asset.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in architectural design and project management is required. Experience working with international organizations or on development projects in Niger or similar contexts is highly desirable. Candidates should have a track record of successfully delivering architectural projects from conception to completion.
Languages: Fluency in French is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication in Niger. Proficiency in English is considered an asset, as it may be necessary for communication with international stakeholders and documentation.
Additional Notes: This position is a consultancy role under the UNDP, and the contract duration will be specified upon selection.
