Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position at UNDP's Regional Hub in Bangkok is designed to support the Project Vision/BOLD initiative, which aims to assist countries in implementing forward-focused reforms in a challenging development landscape. Interns will work under the supervision of the SDG Integration Advisor and will be involved in various tasks that align with the specific needs of BOLD countries. The role requires a commitment to conducting research, analyzing economic and labor market data, and drafting reports that will inform high-level engagements. The internship will last for six months, with the first three months being on-site in Bangkok and the subsequent three months being remote. This structure allows interns to gain hands-on experience while also adapting to a flexible work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be responsible for supporting the application of foresight, strategy, and government capabilities diagnostics in BOLD countries. They will conduct background research on themes relevant to BOLD countries, such as structural economic transformation and job creation. Additionally, interns will assist in collecting and analyzing economic and labor market data, drafting country-specific research reports, briefing notes, and case studies to inform high-level engagements. They will also contribute to the drafting of BOLD country reports and roadmaps that include policy recommendations following BOLD missions. This role requires a proactive approach and the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must demonstrate a strong interest in working within an international organization and possess effective communication skills for both teamwork and independent tasks. They should exhibit initiative, goal-oriented mindset, and the ability to organize and structure various responsibilities. Sensitivity to cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality, and age diversity is essential, as is the ability to respond positively to feedback and differing viewpoints. Educational Background:
Candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements: currently enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher), currently enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent), or graduated with a university degree within the past year. The field of study should be in economics, development studies, public policy, or related fields, which is required for this internship.

Experience:
While specific prior experience is not mandated, candidates should possess strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct rigorous research and analysis, including data handling. Familiarity with global and regional development issues, particularly in areas such as inclusive growth, governance, and sustainability, is highly advantageous. Excellent writing and drafting skills in English are required, along with good communication skills. Proficiency in relevant software for data analysis is considered an asset.

Additional Notes:
The internship is unpaid, but UNDP provides a monthly stipend of THB 8,302.50 for the on-site period and THB 4,151.25 for the remote period. Interns are responsible for their own expenses related to travel, accommodation, and subsistence. They must also obtain necessary visas and health insurance. Interns are expected to work full-time, although flexibility is allowed for educational commitments. It is important to note that interns are not eligible to apply for or be appointed to any post in UNDP during the internship period.
