Job Overview: The Assistant Order Filling Clerk position is crucial for ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of stock materials necessary for fulfilling customer orders. The role involves working closely with the Mail and Operations Unit under the supervision of a designated supervisor. The contractor will be responsible for preparing materials for order fulfillment, which includes pulling stock, assembling order batches, and ensuring that philatelic items are handled correctly. The position requires attention to detail to ensure that cancellations of philatelic items are executed without errors and that customer orders are fulfilled promptly. The contractor will also assist in peak workload assignments to meet critical deadlines, which may involve manual tasks such as collecting and sorting stamps and philatelic deliveries. This role is home-based but also requires presence at the UNPA Order Filling Office located in the Vienna International Centre.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Order Filling Clerk include:
Assisting in the preparation of stock materials needed for order fulfillment.
Pulling out stock and preparing materials as required.
Putting together order batches and managing stock movements.
Affixing stamps on First Day Covers (FDCs) according to established samples.
Assisting in peak workload assignments to meet critical deadlines.
Collecting stamps and philatelic deliveries from the receiving area.
Sorting and arranging philatelic items in the appropriate stockroom.
Ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner to maintain customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for this position include:
A high school diploma is mandatory.
Relevant working experience, particularly in affixing stamps on covers, is required.
Experience in a philatelic-oriented business is essential.
A good knowledge of UNPA philatelic products is desirable.
Familiarity with postal rules and regulations is advantageous.
Strong manual skills for handling stamps and other philatelic products are necessary.
Professionalism, client orientation, and accountability are required traits.
Flexibility in working days is considered a plus.
