Job Overview: The Project Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting a project aimed at enhancing the capability of target countries to produce quality, granular, and timely statistics. This project is particularly focused on measuring and mitigating the impact of Covid-19 and monitoring sectoral recovery efforts. The incumbent will be responsible for compiling and processing datasets, preparing reports and presentations, and assisting in the organization of workshops and meetings. The role requires a proactive approach to research and data management, ensuring that the project meets its objectives effectively and efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities: The incumbent shall assist in compiling, processing, and manipulating data sets derived from various sources. They will assemble and examine original statistical material to ensure accuracy, clarity, and validity, making necessary adjustments. The Project Assistant will also assist in drafting papers, reports, and presentations, providing administrative support for training workshops, meetings, and seminars related to the project. Required Qualifications: A Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, or a related area is required.
