Job Overview:
The Consultancy Partnerships Advisor will play a crucial role in shaping Mercy Corps Ukraine's locally-led vision and partnership approach. This position is designed to enhance the organization's ability to deliver quality services to the people of Ukraine through meaningful partnerships with civil society. The consultant will be responsible for analyzing the current state of the Partnership Approach, advising on improvements, and identifying new areas for research and analysis related to localization. The role requires a strategic mindset to develop external relations and advocacy strategies, keeping the team informed about developments in the field and operationalizing new ideas. The consultant will also be tasked with producing visibility materials that communicate Mercy Corps Ukraine's localization efforts effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Consultant will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing Mercy Corps Ukraine's partnership approach. Key duties include: shaping the vision for locally-led initiatives, identifying new areas for analysis and research, advising on operationalizing new approaches, and introducing the organization to new coordination and advocacy platforms. The consultant will analyze the current implementation of the Partnership Approach, recommend improvements, and develop an overview of best practices in localization. They will keep the team updated on localization discussions at regional and global levels, advise on global networks for localization and partnerships, and work on developing new ideas to strengthen localization efforts. Additionally, the consultant will provide analysis on global funds accessible to partners in Ukraine and conduct information sessions to assist partners in accessing these funds. The consultant will also be responsible for updating and developing presentation materials that describe Mercy Corps Ukraine's localization efforts.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Consultancy Partnerships Advisor position should possess a University Degree or a Master's in international studies, social sciences, economics, or a related field. Proven technical expertise in partnership approaches, civil society development, and capacity strengthening of local organizations is essential. The ideal candidate will have at least 7-10 years of senior experience in the humanitarian or development sector, with a strong understanding of organizational development in challenging environments. Effective verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational and prioritization abilities, are necessary for success in this role. Excellent proficiency in English is required, while knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian is strongly preferred.

Educational Background:
The position requires a University Degree or a Master's degree in relevant fields such as international studies, social sciences, or economics. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of humanitarian work and the dynamics of civil society development.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7-10 years of senior-level experience in the humanitarian and/or development field.
