Job Overview:

The role primarily involves supporting the Host Country Services Unit (HCSU) within the Central Support Services of the Division of Administrative Services. Interns will work under the supervision of the HCSU Manager, contributing to various administrative and creative tasks. The position requires a proactive approach to design and layout of documents, ensuring adherence to established guidelines while maintaining high-quality standards. Interns will also engage in digital content creation, including videos and infographics, which will enhance the visibility of HCSU services and achievements. Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: designing and laying out documents such as reports, brochures, newsletters, and presentations; ensuring consistency in style and adherence to HCSU guidelines; preparing files for high-quality printing; maintaining an organized archive of published materials; staying updated with the latest desktop publishing software and industry trends; creating short videos and infographics for the HCSU website; and updating the website with service highlights and achievements. The role demands strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Required Qualifications:
Applicants for the UN Internship Programme are not required to have prior professional work experience. However, candidates must have a field of study closely related to the internship. At the time of application, applicants must meet one of the following criteria: be enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher), be in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent), or have graduated with a Bachelor's degree, Master's, PhD, or equivalent. Proficiency in standard software applications, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite, is essential. A demonstrated interest in the work of the United Nations and a commitment to its ideals are also required.

Educational Background:
Candidates must be students in the final year of their first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), or enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program, or have completed such programs. Preferred areas of study include graphic design, communications, or related fields. Knowledge or skills in desktop publishing software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), are highly desirable. Familiarity with HTML and CSS is also beneficial.

Experience:
